With a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy and a Juris Doctor and over seven years of comprehensive experience in financial management across both the government and private sectors, Mr. Bastatas brings a rare combination of accounting expertise, legal knowledge, and operational insight to the Ashlex leadership team. His credentials include being a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Tax Technician (CTT), and a highly experienced virtual finance professional.
Throughout his career, Mr. Bastatas has demonstrated a consistent ability to implement efficient financial systems, manage complex budgeting processes, and navigate multifaceted compliance landscapes. His extensive background includes roles in financial analysis, regulatory reporting, tax planning and preparation, internal controls, and audit coordination, as well as working in both onsite and fully remote environments—making him ideally suited to Ashlex’s global and distributed operations.
Mr. Bastatas has also built a reputation for leveraging technology to drive productivity, streamline workflows, and deliver accurate, timely financial data to support strategic decision-making. He has successfully implemented cloud-based accounting practices that enhance transparency and accessibility for multi-office organizations.
In his new role, Mr. Bastatas will oversee all financial operations for the Ashlex family of companies. This includes consolidating financial reporting across entities, implementing standardized budgeting and forecasting processes, enhancing compliance and audit readiness, and collaborating closely with senior leadership on fiscal planning and risk management. His work will support critical functions such as investor relations, cross-border tax structuring, and operational budgeting for U.S. and international subsidiaries.
